Protect a vinyl record's center label during compatible wet-cleaning routines with the calunovi™ LabelGuard Vinyl Record Label Protector. Its upper and lower aluminum-alloy shield plates are secured by a tightening mechanism around the label area. Use the protector only while the record is stationary for cleaning; it is not a record weight and is not intended for use on a spinning turntable or during playback.

Record labels carry album titles, artist names, catalog details, and the visual character of a collection. During compatible wet cleaning, the label area needs shielding from splashes. LabelGuard uses upper and lower protective plates that fit around the center label and are held together by a tightening mechanism.
The aluminum-alloy plates and central tightening structure are intended for stationary cleaning sessions with a compatible manual record washer or wet-cleaning method. Do not use LabelGuard as a record weight or leave it attached while a record is spinning.

1. Place the record flat on a stable surface or in a compatible manual record washer.
2. Align the upper and lower protective plates around the center label and tighten the mechanism gently.
3. Clean the exposed record surface, then remove the protector carefully and dry the record before storage. Never use LabelGuard while the record is spinning or playing.

Protect the Label Before Cleaning
Place the record on a stable, stationary surface or in a compatible manual record washer. Align the upper and lower LabelGuard plates around the center label, then tighten gently and evenly. Clean the exposed record surface according to the cleaning solution and washer instructions. Keep liquid away from exposed label edges, remove the protector carefully after cleaning, and dry the record and label area before returning the record to its sleeve. Do not attach or use LabelGuard on a spinning turntable.
